
My Story
I began my business career in what was arguably the most challenging year to enter the workforce—2008.
As the world faced a financial meltdown, I joined my father’s small business, which at the time was just the two of us. My father had started the company in 2005, but unfortunately, it wasn’t on a promising trajectory.
As a skilled engineer, he had deep technical expertise and a solid understanding of our product, but like many new businesses, we lacked a sustainable and profitable business model.
With significant debt hanging over us, I set out on a mission to turn the business around and become the best business owner and Managing Director I could be.
Over the years, I’ve gained experience in nearly every area of business. From generating leads through telemarketing and improving our sales approach, to enhancing operations to deliver a great customer experience that keeps clients coming back. I also worked closely with our finance team to ensure timely invoicing and strong cash flow, enabling us to position the business for its next phase of growth.
In 2024, after 16 years of building and expanding our family business, my father and I successfully executed an exit strategy and sold our main trading company to a private equity-funded UK national competitor.
Since I was young, I’ve had a passion for business. I believe building, scaling, and growing a company can be incredibly rewarding and fun. Having experienced the highs and lows first-hand, I am eager to share my knowledge and practical insights to help other family businesses succeed.
